According to the Beijing News, on January 4, a screenshot of a situation report of "Xi'an Senior High School Boy Killed His Teacher and Flees Through the Door" circulated on the Internet. The screenshot shows that on January 2nd, the senior high school boy, Li, was found to be using mobile phone because he was studying on the phone, and was confiscated by the duty teacher Jin. After that, Lee went to Jin's office twice to ask for a mobile phone. After Lee entered the office for the third time, the students heard a call for help, and found that Zhou Mojuan, a 55-year-old female teacher who was in the same office as Jin, fell on the door of the office and there was a lot of blood. Zhou Moujuan was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. He died after rescue. Surveillance revealed that Li Mou fled out of the school gate and fled after the incident.

The reporter learned from the Supervision Office of Weiyang District Education Bureau in Xi'an that a teacher was indeed killed by a student. Xi'an Public Security Bureau Development Division Bureau Fengcheng Road Police Station stated that the police station was indeed investigating a case in which a student was injured by a teacher in the middle school, and other circumstances were not convenient to disclose.
This is another case of killing a teacher due to the confiscation of a mobile phone. Unlike the teacher who was previously injured and the teacher who confiscated the mobile phone directly, in this case, another teacher was injured and killed. In the author's opinion, the case arises from the confiscation of mobile phones, but the root cause is the lack of regular education and life education for students. Students do not comply with school regulations, do not speak, and use violent means to solve problems.
Some netizens believe that the teacher is also responsible for the death of the teacher. How can he confiscate the student's mobile phone? They even think that teachers have no right to confiscation. This is nonsense out of school management, and this argument does affect some students. In August last year, eight departments including the Ministry of Education issued the "Implementation Plan for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents", which clearly stipulates that students are strictly prohibited from bringing personal mobile phones, tablet computers and other electronic products into the classroom, and those who bring them into the school must be kept in a unified storage. Therefore, as long as students bring their mobile phones to campus, schools have the right to let students hand over their phones for unified storage. Otherwise, this provision cannot be implemented at all.
From the perspective of implementing the "Implementation Plan for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Children and Youth Myopia" issued by eight departments including the Ministry of Education, there is no problem for school teachers to confiscate students' mobile phones (temporary storage). However, in reality, this has caused conflict again. It must be said that the school did not tell students and parents about this requirement in advance. The main reason for the contradiction and conflict is that the students did not cooperate with the implementation at all, and some public opinion still strongly supported the students' non-cooperation.
This involves rule (legal) education. Regarding school rules, the rule education of students includes two aspects. One is to be consistent with the higher law when formulating rules, to listen to the opinions of teachers and students widely, and to implement the principle of public decision-making for the minority to obey the majority. Even if a few students have opinions on the rules, they must be strictly implemented, which is also a sense of rules. At present, the rules of some schools are formulated and there is a lack of procedures for publicly listening to opinions. This leaves doubts about the legitimacy of the rules, thereby disrespecting the rules, and also receiving support from some people.
The rule that “prohibit students from using mobile phones in the classroom, and that mobile phones brought to campus must be kept in a unified manner” is determined by the administrative department. At the specific management level of the school, there is no further listening to the students' opinions on the rules and strengthening of the students. This is where rules of education need to be perfected. The core of rule education is to respect the rules and accept the corresponding punishment for violations of the rules, instead of disregarding the rules, and treating school teachers in accordance with regulations as personal grievances.
The lack of regular education for students has led to indifferent rules awareness among some students. This is also the reason why it is difficult for school teachers to educate students and discourage school management. At present, China is discussing the formulation of rules to clarify the right of teachers to punish students. However, if there is no rule of education, it is to formulate the rules of disciplinary education. There are still students (and parents) who do not accept punishment according to rules. What should we do? ? We should firmly support teachers who discipline and discipline in accordance with regulations, and educate students and parents who are embarrassed.
In this case, why a student whose phone was confiscated hurt another teacher, local police need to investigate and publish the case. This shows another problem. After being “punished” by the teacher for confiscation of the mobile phone, he did not realize that this was his problem, but was irritated with the teacher who confiscated the mobile phone, and even lost his sense of angering other teachers and hurting them by violence. This exposes the lack of life education, which is one of the important reasons for the increase in school violence cases. Under the mode of further education, school education and family education both pay attention to students 'knowledge education, while neglecting the life education and psychological education of students, which to some extent leads to the unhealthy development of students' physical and mental health and distortion of personality.
Needless to say, the repeated occurrence of such incidents will confuse normal school running and teachers' normal discipline of students, distorting the teacher-student relationship. The death of a student who harmed a teacher cannot be considered as a "home ugly" to cover up. The deep-seated reasons behind this need to be analyzed and the medicine can be remedied.
