For children of different ages, strollers are not only a convenient tool for children and parents to travel, but also an important partner for increasing children's capabilities. According to the growth needs of children, the type of stroller needs to be constantly updated, only from the time of birth to preschool age. Generally speaking, each person usually needs three to four strollers. Infants and young children's awareness is limited by their age, and their self-protection awareness is relatively low. To this end, China introduced national mandatory standards for children's bicycles, strollers, and baby walkers in 2002 and 2006 to protect the safety of infants and toddlers.
At present, the national standards of these three baby carriages have been implemented for more than ten years. Can the quality of baby carriages sold in our market ensure the safety of children? Jiangsu Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau recently conducted a random inspection of nearly 100 batches of baby carriages.
The inspector introduced that in addition to the sample purchased by Tmall Mall, the sample purchased in the physical store also failed five indicators. This purchase from the Longxiang Toy Management Department of Rugao, Nantong City, was labeled Tengzhou Wanbao stroller. The baby stroller produced by the company has been tested, and its identification labels, folding locks, dangerous gaps, applicable age and wheel strength have all failed.
The highest incidence of baby carriage brake failure
During the investigation, the reporter learned that in recent years, injury accidents caused by children's strollers at home and abroad are common. The inspector told reporters that many of the currently popular children's strollers are stroller handles that can be used in both directions. However, some unqualified products are equipped with a brake device only at one end of the handlebar. The risk of rolling is likely to occur when one end of the brake is braked.
Comprehensive stroller test results: 16 of the 39 batches of random samples were unqualified, and 8 batches were sampled online, of which 6 batches of samples purchased by Tmall failed, and 1 batch of samples purchased by Taobao failed. Qualified, 1 batch of samples purchased by Jingdong Mall failed; 8 batches of samples purchased in physical stores failed.
Walker has serious safety risks
In addition to the stroller, 26 batches of baby walkers were also spot checked this time. After testing, it was found that some samples had serious safety hazards that could cause harm to infants and young children. The national standard has a mandatory requirement for baby walkers with a caster diameter greater than 50 mm. In the course of this inspection, it was found that the diameter of caster wheels of a certain brand of baby walker was significantly less than 50 mm, and its wheel diameter was less than 40 mm, which was significantly smaller than the national standard of 50 mm.
Based on the results of this baby walker test, 26 batches of samples were taken and 7 batches were unsuccessful, of which 2 batches were purchased by Jingdong Mall, and 1 batch each was purchased by Beibei.com, Alibaba.com, and Tmall Mall; Lianyungang City One sample of each sample purchased from a physical store in Jintan City failed.
Baby stroller quality may decline
Among the three types of baby carriages tested this time, the failure rate of children's bicycles is relatively the lowest. However, unsafe products have also found many hidden dangers. National standards have certain requirements on the protrusions of children's bicycles. For example, from the saddle to the front of the saddle 300 mm, no protrusions are allowed between the tubes on the frame. It can cause accidental injuries to children's limbs during riding. . The minimum insertion depth of a child's riser is also required by national standards. It stipulates that there should be a clear scale on the riser to indicate the minimum insertion depth. The inspection also found that some children's bicycles had cut corners in production and had quality problems.
Based on the results of the children's bicycle test, 31 batches of samples and 9 batches failed. Jingdong Mall and Tmall Mall each purchased 2 batches, and physical stores in Taizhou, Lianyungang, Nantong, and Zhangjiagang each purchased 1 batch, and the production company sampled 1 batch and failed.
It is understood that this supervision and random inspection is the second consecutive year that Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Quality Supervision has tested baby carriages. Compared with the results of two years, the sampling failure rate is 33.33%, and the previous year sampling failure rate is 27.8%, that is, That said, the disqualification rate was about 7% higher than the previous year. The inspectors analyzed that the reasons and responsibilities for this situation were mainly due to the lack of due quality control of production and distribution enterprises.
Experts point out that the lack of due quality control and the failure of the quality of raw materials can be attributed to the subjective problems of producers. In other words, it is not difficult to produce qualified strollers if you are willing. We look forward to the day when we will no longer worry about quality issues when we buy strollers for our children.
